here’s the information…

This is a mail in event: you don’t have to attend.
First of all, you don’t actually attend this- This is a mail-in mail art event- The only thing that needs to show up is your art…and then you get some back. We all like getting mail, and getting original art in the mail is even more fun. To find out how to do this, read on, people:
Express Yourself Theme:  Post date- May 28th or hand deliver w/a SASE by 6/3/13 (see details below) … Sogn Art is hosting our 2nd Artist Trading Card Swap. We had over 75 trading cards swapped through our last swap, some from as far away as Sweden, Ontario, North Carolina and beyond! What a  fun way to see the diverse ways people approach art.  We expect this swap will share equal success.
What is an Artist Trading Card? ATC’s are miniature works of art, about the same size as modern playing cards, or 2 ½ by 3 ½ inches (63mm X 89mm), small enough to fit inside a standard card-collector pockects, sleeves, or cheets. The ATC movement developed out of the mail art movement and has origins in Switzerland. Cards are produced in various media and themes including dry media I(pencil, ink, markers, pastels, etc) wet media (watercolor, acrylic paints, etcs.) paper media, (in the form of collage, papercuts, found objects, etc) and even metals and cloth, beads, etc.  The cards are usually traded or exchanged rather than sold. Google “Artist Trading Card” and you will find tons of more information online.
The “swap” part happens when the “swap host” swaps out your submitted card with another artist’s submitted card and sends it back to you, providing you with a new piece of art!
