Thanksgiving Day was very busy with my daughter and family… of course food and lots of talking.
She brought her serger sewing machine AND…  we put the sweater coat together that we had pieced back in June.

sweater coat

Most of the sweaters were from the Food Co-Op free box and a couple from Budd Bay Bargains. Most of these sweaters are 100% or 80% wool.
Last June we needed another sweater to fill in a design area and at the time couldn’t find anything suitable… couldn’t believe that the local used clothing stores didn’t have any sweaters set out.

I will add some pockets cut from the neck of one of the wool sweaters and sew them on with a regular sewing machine.

Elzza, my daughter, up-cycles lots of used clothing into skirts, arm warmers, etc.

Keep arting,
